Tony Nuñez is a sound design specialist, educator, arranger, and visual designer living in Southern California. He is the percussion arranger and visual designer for many high school ensembles (such as South Hills High School and Arcadia High School), as well as independent ensembles including Riverside Community College Indoor Percussion, and UnikStar Percussion Ensemble (France). Tony is a contributing member of www.projectRISEmusic.com, and manages a team of artists whose work can be found at www.vimeo.com/cutpastecollective.
As a music educator, he is a frequent clinician at Morehead State University, Music for All Summer Symposium, and WGI DrumFest on Tour. His curriculum focuses on technology based arranging and composing utilizing leading hardware and software applications.
Tony has held various design and instructional roles with Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps, Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps, Pulse Percussion, and Music City Mystique. He is a former member of the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps, Riverside Community College Indoor Drum Line, Patriots Drum and Bugle Corps, and Black Knights Indoor Percussion.
He is currently a member of the WGI Board of Directors, ASCAP, and is an Apple Certified Master Pro in Logic Studio. Tony is a proud Artist with Yamaha, Vic Firth, Zildjian, Evans, Planet Waves, and Winter Guard Tarps.
