Esperanza Jazz Festival – March 8, 2025

8:45AM – Call Time @ Esperanza HS

  • Students will be responsible for their own rides to and from Esperanza HS
  • We will need to bring the following equipment.
    • Bass amplifier
    • All drum set cymbals including high hat.
    • High hat stand and clutch.

*There will be a $10 fee to enter the festival.  The student/member tickets have already been paid for.

9:10AM – Warm Up in Band Room (Room 711)

9:45AM – Performance in Theater

10:20AM – Performance Ends/Load Vehicles

IMPORTANT – Please let me know if you need to leave after our performance.  If you are able to stay at the festival to watch the Heavy Division, please do so.  Some of the best High School Jazz Ensembles in Southern California will be performing at this festival!

7:30 – Awards

8PM – Awards Ceremony Ends

  • You may be picked up at this time.

Symphonic Band @ Arcadia High School Festival – March 27, 2025

3PM – Call Time in Band Room

  • Please arrive in appropriate concert dress.  Please see handbook for concert dress!  IMPORTANT – If you have questions, please ask!
  • We will use this time to make sure you have everything you will need for the day.  Please make sure you have your music!
  • Please make sure you have eaten a healthy lunch!

3:15 – Depart for Arcadia High School

4PM – Arrive @ Arcadia High School 

  • When we arrive at AHS you will have 30 minutes to visit concessions.  
  • We will be watching two performances before we leave for the warm-up room.  Please remember to be a polite audience.  Phones must be on silent and put away during performances.  Please keep your feet off the seats. 

5:55 – Report to Warm Up Room (Orchestra Room)

6PM – Warm Up

6:30 – Performance

7PM – Sightreading

7:30 – Pack Up Instruments

7:45 – Depart

8:15 – Arrive @ SHHS

You will be dismissed once everything is packed up the band room is cleaned up.
