Parents – This schedule is subject to change!  It is always a good idea to arrive at least one hour before the performance time in case there are any last-minute changes to the schedule.  Parking at marching band tournaments is ALWAYS a challenge.  If you would like to check your student out after the competition, please notify Mr. Wooten in writing before the event.

7:30AM – Call Time/Load

8:30 – Depart by Bus

  • Remember proper bus behavior (see handbook)
  • All students must be wearing their SHHS polo shirt or 2025 show shirt at this time.  If it is too cold for your polo shirt you may wear your Logo Sweatshirt or Member Jacket.
  • COLOR GUARD – Please wear your warmups.

10:45 – Arrive @ Rancho Buena Vista HS

  • Unload Truck/Use Restroom
  • Please make sure to eat something at this time.  This will be the last time you will have the chance to eat until we get home.  As always, we will have snacks at the show.

11:45 – Get into Uniform

  • 11:45 – Girls change into uniform.
  • 12:10 – Boys change into uniform.

12:40 – Depart for Warm Up Zone

12:50 – Warm Up

1:50 – Depart Warm Up Zone for Gate/Staging

2:05 – Arrive @ Gate/Staging

2:15PM – Performance

2:30 – Return to busses/truck

  • SAME PROCEDURE AS ABOVE!
    • Girls change first
    • Boys change second
  • Boys will begin to load the truck while girls are changing.  Girls will continue to load the truck while boys are changing.
  • All students should be wearing their polo shirt or show shirt at this time.
  • COLOR GUARD – Please wear your warmups.
  • Once everyone has changed, we will head back to the stadium for awards.  There may not be enough time to finish loading the truck but please get as much loaded as possible so we can get on the road as soon as possible after awards.

3PM – Return to Stadium

3PM – Awards

  • ALL students must be seated together as soon as the awards ceremony begins!
  • Please make sure we are always well behaved and courteous to others!
  • We will not have time to visit the concession stand at this time.

 3:45 – Return to Busses/Truck

 4PM – Depart

 6PM – Arrive at SHHS

  • Once the truck is unloaded and the band room is cleaned up you will be dismissed.

Things to bring:

Black Marching Shoes – MUST BE CLEAN!

LONG Black Socks

Logo Shirt (to be worn at rehearsal)

Logo Shorts (to be worn at rehearsal)

CLEAN Black Gloves

Polo Shirt/2025 Show Shirt

Warm Clothes to wear after your performance (if needed)

CLEAN Instrument and all Equipment

Sunglasses, Hat, and Sunscreen

1-Gallon Jug of Water

$ for food

Healthy snack(s), sack lunch, or dinner
